Access data are required to use Planfred. You receive these data during registration or after being invited to a project.

Tip: The password can be reset at any time and changed in the user account.

Create a project

  • Click on create a new project (see “Project list”)
  • Input project title
  • Select your own role in the project or, if this is not available, enter this in the field for “new role” and click (+)
  • Save

Tip: Under Settings & backup , you can adjust the project settings (e.g. rename plan folders or add new ones (+)). These settings can be applied to additional projects. To the blog article “Apply project settings”

Invite participants

  • Click on invite new participants (see “Participants”)
  • Enter your e-mail address, name, company
  • Select the role or enter one in the new role and click (+)
  • Optional administrator permissions, issue plan approval permission

Create and send plans

Create new plan:

  • Click Create new plan (see plans overview)
  • Select or drag and drop (PDF, etc.)
  • Select or drag and drop CAD file (DWG, etc.)
  • Edit plan number and file name (the file name is entered into the plan number field automatically)
  • Select the plan folder, enter the index
  • Select the day or enter a new day optionally in the field and click (+)
  • Write and optional comment
  • Select if the plan approval is required
  • Save

Update plan:

This function is only used if the plan is available in list view – this means that the plan has already been created and may now be updated.

Tip: Participants are informed about updates automatically, provided the upload notifier is activated. To the blog entry “Upload notifier: The automatic notifier is here!”

Send plans

Use the group action Send/download (see plan overview)

  • Creating an individual plan list using filters for plan folders, roles, and tags
  • Click on the send/download group action
  • Select the desired plans
  • Click on send plan/plans…
  • Select project participants and select or add external mail addresses as required
  • Add an optional message

Create document:

  • Click create document (see documents overview)
  • Select or drag and drop file
  • Edit document number and file name fields (the file name is entered into the plan number field automatically)
  • Enter optional index and write comment
  • Select an optional secure document (access will be limited – document vault)
  • Select or add an optional day (+)
  • Save

Activities

All actions are logged seamlessly under activities. This enables you to follow who uploaded and downloaded which plan and when.
