More transparency and efficiency with PLANFRED at Real-Treuhand

As a property developer, Hartl-Scheschi depends every day on all project participants working with the same documents. Sounds simple. With PLANFRED, this now works efficiently and traceably through one central platform.

From binders to a central platform

Before PLANFRED, project documentation at Real-Treuhand ran on paper and in physical binders. With the introduction of PLANFRED, this process was extended digitally and further optimized. What is especially valuable today: everyone involved – from planning to execution on the construction site – can access the latest plans at any time. That makes coordination much easier and speeds up the flow of information.

“With PLANFRED, we can make sure everyone works with the same current plan version. That saves time and creates a high level of transparency in the project workflow,” Hartl-Scheschi explains. Document distribution has also become much more efficient. Instead of long email distribution lists, the relevant documents are available centrally and can be accessed at any time.

PLANFRED was introduced by the sister company Real-Treuhand Bau und Facility Management GmbH, which is responsible for project management and site supervision. Since then, the team has been using the platform together: for plans, project manuals, building and fit-out specifications, minutes, and other project documents.

Reference project: Mengerstraße residential development, Linz

The residential development on Mengerstraße in Linz shows what that looks like in practice: 50 apartments, five project participants, one shared set of plans. PLANFRED has been used since the start of the project for the ongoing exchange of plans and project documents. Five people work with it as a team, and everyone accesses the same data.

For Hartl-Scheschi, one aspect stands out: the plan history. “You simply find everything again, even past plans. What changed when, how, and where – that is now much easier to trace.” Old plan versions are preserved, and changes over the course of the project can be traced transparently at any time.

Getting started without any training

Hartl-Scheschi especially highlights how uncomplicated it was to get started with PLANFRED: “I got a password and was told: There you go, you can use it now.” No training, no long onboarding phase. And yet everything is clear. “It’s not rocket science – it’s really well organized.”

A major advantage of PLANFRED is that everyone involved always works from one shared, up-to-date base of information. The platform makes sure documents are available centrally and can be accessed at any time. That simplifies coordination and supports collaboration in the project team over the long term. It has made life massively easier for Hartl-Scheschi and his team. Asked how he would describe PLANFRED, he answers without hesitation: “It’s practical, it’s simple, and it works.”
